Anyone. Anywhere. Giving Tuesday 2019
Giving Tuesday started as a day for anyone, anywhere to give, and it’s grown into the biggest giving movement in the world.
Giving Tuesday harnesses the generosity of millions of people around the world to support the causes they believe in and the communities in which they live. Celebrated on the Tuesday following U.S. Thanksgiving, and fueled by the power of social media and collaboration, GivingTuesday inspires millions of people across the globe to show up and give back to causes and issues that matter to them.
So mark your calendars for Tuesday, December 3 as Locust Grove Village participates in the GIVING TUEDAY event. Now in its sixth year locally, Golden Belt Community Foundation and Locust Grove Village along with numerous nonprofit providers have collaborated to enhance programs and raise monies. The Locust Grove Village Endowment fund was established in 2012 and through the generosity of donors has grown to over $41,300. The GIVING TUESDAY event is the primary funding project for the Endowment fund. In 2019, a $10,000 proportional match will be calculated on eligible gifts through GBCF to further grow the funds. Each gift is tax-deductible, as allowed by law.
There are various ways to participate in the month-long campaign that begins November 1, 2019:
1) Give online at: www.goldenbeltcf.org designating Locust Grove Village as your fund of choice.
2) Give in person at E-Z Mart 1409 Main in La Crosse from 11 am – 1 pm on December 3 in your county (other locations will be listed on the website)
3) Gifts can be made in-person or mailed to the foundation to qualify for Giving Tuesday at 1307 Williams St.; P.O. Box 1911; Great Bend, KS 67530. Please make checks payable to GBCF.
4) Gifts and forms may be brought to the Locust Grove Village Administration office to be hand-delivered to the county giving location on December 3.
Giving forms may be picked up at the Locust Grove Village Administration area or printed off the website at www.goldenbeltcf.org or www.locustgrovevillage.com.
Mailed gifts must be postmarked by December 3, 2019
