Charlotte has been the administrator at Locust Grove Village since 2004. She has worked in senior health care for over 30 years. Her role is to oversee all operations of the retirement community and to assure we are meeting the needs of our residents and their families. Charlotte and her husband Eric live in Hays. They have a two sons.
A fun fact about Charlotte: She has her college degree from Kansas University in music therapy!!

Rachel began her career in elder care right here at Locust Grove Village in 2016 as a CNA. She is a graduate of Baker University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. After moving back to the are Rachel returned to work at LGV as the Community Coordinator. Rachel transitioned into the Social Service role and is now working as the Business Manager. In addition, Rachel is working with Charlotte on an Administrator in Training program with hopes of one day becoming a Licensed Adult Care Administrator in Kansas.

 

Outside of work, Rachel is kept busy with a 2-year-old son, Creed. They enjoy spending time visiting grandparents, playing at the park, going to museums and finding new zoo’s to visit!

 

Fun Fact: Rachel and her son share a birthday on July 29th !

Amy grew up in Otis and graduated from Lacrosse High School. Amy attended NCK in Hays, Kansas, and received an associates in Nursing. She has 2 boys; a 15 year old, Christian; and a 4-year old, Aiden. Amy has a sister and a brother who also reside in Lacrosse. Her mother, Sherry, is also a member of the Team at Locust Grove Village. Amy’s hobbies include: attending her kids’ sporting events, going to the lake, and fishing. Her favorite color is pink and her favorite flower is a Lily. A fun fact about Amy is that she loves nursing and helping other people. She is working at Locust Grove Village because it feels like home. She has worked here since she was 15 years old. She started as a CNA, worked her way up to be an LPN, then RN, and has recently been appointed to the Director of Nursing. Her favorite part about Locust Grove is the family oriented environment.

Tayci started working at LGV on September 2nd of 2014 when she was 20 years old. She had previously worked  in Hays while going to Fort Hays State. Tayci started as a CNA and then got the CMA and went on to become a Team Lead and Mentor for LGV coworkers. Tayci then served as the Life Enhancement Coordinator/Activity Director. Her passion for helping next led to pursuing interest in Human Resources. In early 2022, Tayci was named the HR Director. 

Tayci has two daughters, and a fiancé. She loves music and being outdoors.  Tayci enjoys working here because LGV is a person-centered care facility that truly takes pride in the care provided to our residents and the family like feeling you get from working here.

Fun Fact:  A bonus of working here is that her great grandmother also resides here and she is able to spend time with her while at work.

Katy worked in education for over 25 years and decided to pursue a second career in nursing. She began working at LGV as a CNA October 2010. Katy received her Associates Degree in nursing from North Central Kansas Technical College May 2014. She started as MDS Coordinator June 2015. Katy performs quarterly assessments, care planning, admissions, and discharges. Katy and husband, Brad, own an electrical contracting business in LaCrosse. They have four grown daughters, two sons in law, and a one year old granddaughter who has touched a place in Grandma’s heart that she didn’t know existed! In Katy’s spare time she enjoys reading and tending to her flower garden. Fun fact: Katy enjoys scrap-booking and has completed a birth to adult scrapbook for each of her girls.
Jim has worked in the Maintenance profession for the past 30 years.  He previously worked for 26 years at school districts and four years in a hospital.  Before that he spent eight years as a police officer.
Jim is married for 26 years and raised two daughters and a son.  They all have families of their own and Jim now enjoys having four grandchildren. One daughter lives here in La Crosse. 
Fun fact:  There are more collect calls on Father’s Day than any other day of the year.

Sydni lived in Utica, Ks before moving to Hays as a young girl.  She actually wanted to become a Cosmetologist when in High School but after her Grandpa got sick and was placed in a nursing home, after seeing the love, care, and devotion that the staff gave to the residents she decided to change career choice to nursing.  Sydni has been a CNA/CMA since 2010 and would like to eventually go to nursing school.  She previously worked in ASL and the State Psychiatric Hospital. 

Sydni has a 10-year-old son that she loves to watch play baseball. Her hobbies include playing adult sport leagues and anything that allows her to be outdoors. 

Fun Fact: Sydni is amazing at doing crafts 

Bethany graduated from FHSU in 2019 with her bachelor’s degree in social work. She spent the last four years working in Hutchinson, before returning to her hometown of Hays. Bethany has always had a passion for working with the elderly and is excited to be serving residents of Locust Grove. In her spare time, Bethany enjoys reading, baking, watching sitcoms, and chasing around her 1.5 year-old daughter.

 

Fun Fact: Bethany loves learning languages and speaks some German and French
