Angel decided to obtain her CNA in 2011 after she saw what the effects of Alzheimer’s did to her Mother. She loved caring for the elderly so much that she obtained her Home Health Certificate & then her CMA all within the same year. Angel joined the Assisted Living Team in 2015, working there for 2 ½ years. December 2017, she became the Medical Records Coordinator, managing all Residents medical information within the Village, including Independent Living, Assisted Living & the Nursing Home. It has been such a pleasure to work with the family members & get to know the residents better through a different perspective. Angel grew up in Plainville, currently lives in Zurich & drives an hour every day because she loves what she does. It is a joy to come to work every day knowing you’re with family. Angel has a grown son & daughter who have their own families in Texas. She is proud to always talk about her four grandsons.
A fun fact about Angel is that she won a Powder-Puff Demolition Derby!
Fun Fact: Jennifer has ran in 9 half marathons – hoping to make it 10 this fall!
I started working at LGV on September 2nd of 2014 when I was 20 years old. I had previously worked at Via Christy in Hays while going to Fort Hays State. I started as a CNA and then got my CMA and went on to become a Team Lead and Mentor for my coworkers. I am now the Life Enhancement Coordinator. I have two daughters, my oldest is 5 and my youngest is 4. I enjoy working here because we are a person-centered care facility that truly takes pride in the care we provide to our residents and the family like feel that you get working here. Bonus of working here is that my great grandmother also resides here and am able to spend time with her while at work. I love music and being outdoors. The most fun thing about my job right now is that I get to find new creative ways to connect residents with new and fun things they have never tried or help them keep doing the things they have always loved doing.
