Charlotte has been the administrator at Locust Grove Village since 2004. She has worked in senior health care for over 30 years. Her role is to oversee all operations of the retirement community and to assure we are meeting the needs of our residents and their families. Charlotte and her husband Eric live in Hays. They have a two sons.
A fun fact about Charlotte: She has her college degree from Kansas University in music therapy!!
Amy grew up in Otis and graduated from Lacrosse High School. Amy attended NCK in Hays, Kansas, and received an associates in Nursing. She has 2 boys; a 15 year old, Christian; and a 4-year old, Aiden. Amy has a sister and a brother who also reside in Lacrosse. Her mother, Sherry, is also a member of the Team at Locust Grove Village. Amy’s hobbies include: attending her kids’ sporting events, going to the lake, and fishing. Her favorite color is pink and her favorite flower is a Lily. A fun fact about Amy is that she loves nursing and helping other people. She is working at Locust Grove Village because it feels like home. She has worked here since she was 15 years old. She started as a CNA, worked her way up to be an LPN, then RN, and has recently been appointed to the Director of Nursing. Her favorite part about Locust Grove is the family oriented environment.
Angel decided to obtain her CNA in 2011 after she saw what the effects of Alzheimer’s did to her Mother. She loved caring for the elderly so much that she obtained her Home Health Certificate & then her CMA all within the same year. Angel joined the Assisted Living Team in 2015, working there for 2 ½ years. December 2017, she became the Medical Records Coordinator, managing all Residents medical information within the Village, including Independent Living, Assisted Living & the Nursing Home. It has been such a pleasure to work with the family members & get to know the residents better through a different perspective. Angel grew up in Plainville, currently lives in Zurich & drives an hour every day because she loves what she does. It is a joy to come to work every day knowing you’re with family. Angel has a grown son & daughter who have their own families in Texas. She is proud to always talk about her four grandsons.
A fun fact about Angel is that she won a Powder-Puff Demolition Derby!
Sandy position enables her to work with the residents at Locust Grove Village by identifying their psychosocial, mental and emotional needs along with providing, developing, and/or aiding in the access of services to meet those needs. Services will be provided in accordance with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics along with strict adherence to government regulations. I am responsible for fostering a climate, policies and routines that enable residents to maximize their individuality, independence and dignity. This climate shall provide residents with the highest practical level of physical, mental and psychosocial well-being and quality of life.
Fun Fact: I have played Scrabble everyday for 8 years.
Jennifer is a graduate of Fort Hays State University with a degree in Social Work. She got her start in business when she was employed at Sprint in Overland Park Kansas. She and her family have made several moves in the last few years, but have settled in her husband’s hometown. Jennifer serves as the office manager at Locust Grove Village. She works closely with Charlotte in numerous financial transactions including account payable and account receivable. Jennifer enjoys her time at Locust Grove Village with fun co-workers and loves to get to know the residents and their families
Jennifer and her husband Dustin live in Natoma KS and have a son and a daughter.
Fun Fact: Jennifer has ran in 9 half marathons – hoping to make it 10 this fall!
Brittany ran an in-home daycare for about about 6 years. After all of her local nieces and nephews were enrolled in school, she thought it was time for something new. She loved caring and taking care of others knew the nursing home would be an ideal place to continue to do this.
Brittany was hired at LGV in February of 2018 as the Support Services Coordinator. Among other things Brittany helped with many of the activities here at LGV and really got acquainted with the residents quickly. The activities and being among the residents were Brittany’s favorite part of her day. In December of 2018 Brittany took over the role of Life Enhancement Coordinator/ Activities Director.
In her spare time, Brittany helps teach PSR to Pre-K and Kindergarten at the local Catholic Church. She also loves to spend time with all of her nieces and nephews whenever she can.
Fun Fact about Brittany: Brittany met her husband, James, woking at the Sonic in Hays when they were seniors in High School. He taught her how to make Cherry Limemades!
Katy worked in education for over 25 years and decided to pursue a second career in nursing. She began working at LGV as a CNA October 2010. Katy received her Associates Degree in nursing from North Central Kansas Technical College May 2014. She started as MDS Coordinator June 2015. Katy performs quarterly assessments, care planning, admissions, and discharges. Katy and husband, Brad, own an electrical contracting business in LaCrosse. They have four grown daughters, two sons in law, and a one year old granddaughter who has touched a place in Grandma’s heart that she didn’t know existed! In Katy’s spare time she enjoys reading and tending to her flower garden. Fun fact: Katy enjoys scrap-booking and has completed a birth to adult scrapbook for each of her girls.
Suzanne joined the LGV team in the fall of 2015. Her role includes working with the campus services of assisted living and independent retirement living. This includes making marketing calls, checking with referral sources, and assisting current resident and tenants in their housing needs. Suzanne is a lifelong resident of Rush County and has had a long career in healthcare.
One fun fact about Suzanne is that first job was as a CNA right here at what was then called Rush County Nursing Home.
Jim has worked in the Maintenance profession for the past 30 years. He previously worked for 26 years at school districts and four years in a hospital. Before that he spent eight years as a police officer.
Jim is married for 26 years and raised two daughters and a son. They all have families of their own and Jim now enjoys having four grandchildren. One daughter lives here in La Crosse.
Fun fact: There are more collect calls on Father’s Day than any other day of the year.
